Endicia Installation Instructions

Installation

Clear the store cache under var/cache and all cookies for your store domain. Disable compilation for Magento 1.4+. This step eliminates almost all potential problems. It's necessary since Magento uses cache heavily.

Backup Your Data

Backup your store database and web directory.

Download and Extract

Download and unzip the extension content on your computer and navigate inside the extracted folder.

Upload Files

Step 1

Navigate inside the Web2Market_Endicia directory. Use your FTP client to upload the content of Web2Market_Endicia directory to your store root.

Step 2 

Refresh your Magento admin by logging out and then back in. 

Step 3 

Refresh the sites cache and re-index site.

Site 4

Verify extension has been installed and is enabled by checking System >Configuration >Advance > Web2Market_Endicia Installation.

Configuration

To “Enable for Checkout” change to ‘yes’ and fill in your information as required. PLEASE NOTE: If you do not already have an endicia account, you must set one up. We provide you a link to do this while setting up the extension. If you already have an endicia account, please use your credentials here.

Special note: Data Advance: Please type 0 (numeral) if you plan on shipping your items the same day the orders are placed. If you plan on shipping the next day, type 1. Two days later? 2. And so on.

System>Configuration>Shipping Method>Endicia

Enable for Checkout: Yes

Test Mode details:       Account Id: 2503052

                                        Passphrase: 12345678

To run live, click “Register with Endicia” to fill the form
NOTE: To Register with Endicia, make sure The Test Mode option selection is ‘no’.

After you register with Endicia fill out your company information under system>configuration>shipping method>Endicia

Special notes: Phone number should not include dashes.

Zip code of Post Office or collection Box. Required for Parcel Select, ZIP Code of Post Office or collection box where item is mailed. May be different than From Postal Code. Used for determining the zone and calculating the postage price.

Entry Facility: Required for Parcel Select, Entry facility where the mail is entered. If this is not set to Other, the ZIP Code of this facility must be specified in POZipCode.

Live Mode Url: You will get from Endicia (After Registration)  For test mode:

After a customer has made a purchase and chosen to ship with Endicia:

Sales>order>view order

Click on ‘invoice’.

Then click “submit invoice’.

Click “ship”.

Then click “submit shipment”.

Then click “Label Image Print” to print your label. Note: Endicia will create tracking number and ID.

Sales->Endicia Services will provide your Endicia services:

1. Buy Postage

2. Change Passphrase

3. Request Refund

4. Sign Up Form

5. View Label Image

Troubleshooting

After the extension installation the store gives an error, or blank page, or suggests starting Magento installation procedure.

Change the owner of the extracted extension files to the web server user and set 775 permissions on them. Clear the store cache and try again.

There is no Web 2 Market extensions under my configuration section, or having the extension tab clicked I get a blank page, or Access Denied error.

Clear the store cache, browser cookies, logout and login again.

I've set up everything correctly, inserted the HTML code but there is nothing on that page.

Clear the store cache, clear your browser cache and domain cookies and refresh the page.

My configuration changes do not appear on the store.
